Makeup types

Cosmetics include skin-care creams, lotions, powders, perfumes, lipsticks, fingernail and toe nail polish, eye and facial makeup, towelettes, permanent waves, colored contact lenses, hair colors, hair sprays and gels, deodorants, hand sanitizer, baby products, bath oils, bubble baths, bath salts, butters and many other types of products. A subset of cosmetics is called "make-up," which refers primarily to coloring products intended to alter the user’s appearance. Many manufacturers distinguish between decorative cosmetics and care cosmetics.
Most cosmetics are distinguished by the area of the body intended for application.
  • Primer, come in various formulas to suit individual skin conditions. Most are meant to reduce the appearance of pore size, prolong the wear of makeup, and allow for a smoother application of makeup, and are applied before foundation.
  • Lipgloss, is a sheer, liquid form of lipstick.
  • Lipstick, lip gloss, lip liner, lip plumper, lip balm, lip conditioner, lip primer, and lip boosters.[2] Lip stains have a water or gel base and may contain alcohol to help the product stay on the lips. The idea behind lip stains is to temporarily saturate the lips with a dye, rather than to cover them with a colored wax. Usually designed to be waterproof, the product may come with an applicator brush or be applied with a finger.
  • Concealer, makeup used to cover any imperfections of the skin. Concealer is often used for any extra coverage needed to cover blemishes or other marks. Concealer is often thicker and more solid than foundation, and provides longer lasting, more detailed coverage. Some formulations are meant only for the eye or only for the face.
  • Foundation, is used to smooth out the face and cover spots or uneven skin coloration. Usually a liquid, cream, or powder, as well as most recently a light and fluffy mousse, foundation also provides excellent coverage.[2] Foundation primer can be applied before or after foundation to obtain a smoother finish. Some primers come in powder or liquid form to be applied before foundation as a base, while other primers come as a spray to be applied after the foundation to help the make-up last longer.
  • Face powder is used to set the foundation, giving it a matte finish, and also to conceal small flaws or blemishes.
  • Rouge, blush or blusher is cheek coloring used to bring out the color in the cheeks and make the cheekbones appear more defined. Rouge comes in powder, cream, and liquid forms.[2]
  • Contour powder/creams are used to define the face. They can be used to give the illusion of a slimmer face or to modify a person’s face shape in other desired ways. Usually a few shades darker than one's own skin tone and matte in finish, contour products create the illusion of depth. A darker toned foundation/concealer can be used instead of contour products for a more natural look.
  • Highlight, used to draw attention to the high points of the face as well as to add glow to the face, comes in liquid, cream, and powder forms. It often contains shimmer, but sometimes does not. A lighter toned foundation/concealer can be used instead of highlight to create a more natural look.
  • Bronzer is used to give skin a bit of color by adding a golden or bronze glow.[2] It comes in either matte, semi matte/satin, or shimmer finishes.
  • Mascara is used to darken, lengthen, and thicken the eyelashes. It is available in natural colors such as brown and black, but also comes in bolder colors such as blue, pink, or purple. There are many different formulas, including waterproof versions for those prone to allergies or sudden tears. It is often used after an eyelash curler and mascara primer.[2] Many mascaras now have certain components intended to help lashes to grow longer and thicker.
  • Eyelash glue is used to adhere false lashes to the eyes. It comes in either clear or colored formulas.
  • Eyeliner is used to enhance and elongate the size of the eye.
  • Eyebrow pencils, creams, waxes, gels and powders are used to color and define the brows.[2]
  • Nail polish is used to color the fingernails and toenails.[2]
  • Setting Spray is used to keep applied makeup intact for long periods of time. An alternative to setting spray is setting powder, which may be either pigmented or translucent.
Cosmetics can be also described by the physical composition of the product. Cosmetics can be liquid or cream emulsions; powders, both pressed and loose; dispersions; and anhydrous creams or sticks.
Makeup remover is a product used to remove the makeup products applied on the skin. It is used to clean the skin before other procedures, like applying bedtime lotion.

Shorts

Shorts are a bifurcated garment worn by both men and women over their pelvic area, circling the waist, and covering the upper part of the legs, sometimes extending down to knee but not covering the entire length of the leg. They are called "shorts" because they are a shortened version of trousers, which cover the entire leg. Shorts are typically worn in warm weather or in an environment where comfort and airflow are more important than the protection of the legs.
There are a variety of shorts, ranging from knee-length short trousers that can be worn as formal clothes to beachwear and athletic shorts. Some types of shorts are only for women, as in the case of culottes, which are a divided skirt resembling a pair of loose-cut shorts.

Styles

  • Basic shorts may have no pockets, lining, or belt loops.
  • Walking shorts are usually relatively roomy and have both pockets and belt loops.
  • Workout shorts are often made of moisture-wicking fabric.
Running shorts are a type of workout shorts.
  • Flat front shorts are a more formal type of shorts.
  • Bermuda shorts are above-the knee shorts, often made with floral patterns.
  • Swim shorts or swimming trunks are male swimwear.
  • Compression shorts are designed for exercise.
  • Baggies
Loose-fitting shorts which reach the knees. These were the standard shorts worn by English football teams before World War II. West Bromwich Albion FC are nicknamed the Baggies because their team used to wear particularly baggy shorts. From about 1970 to 1990 football shorts were extremely short, but baggy shorts then came back into use worldwide.

High heels

High-heeled footwear (often abbreviated as high heels or simply heels) is footwear that raises the heel of the wearer's foot significantly higher than the toes. When both the heel and the toes are raised equal amounts, as in a platform shoe, it is technically not considered to be a high heel; however, there are also high-heeled platform shoes. High heels tend to give the aesthetic illusion of longer, more slender legs. High heels come in a wide variety of styles, and the heels are found in many different shapes, including stiletto, pump (court shoe), block, tapered, blade, and wedge.
According to high-fashion shoe websites like Jimmy Choo and Gucci, a "low heel" is considered less than 2.5 inches (6.4 centimeters), while heels between 2.5 and 3.5 inches (6.4 and 8.9 cm) are considered "mid heels", and anything over that is considered a "high heel". The apparel industry would appear to take a simpler view; the term "high heels" covers heels ranging from 2 to 5 inches. Extremely high-heeled shoes, such as those exceeding 6 inches, strictly speaking, are no longer considered apparel but rather something akin to "jewelery for the feet". They are worn for display or the enjoyment of the wearer.[1]
Although high heels are now usually worn only by girls and women, there are shoe designs worn by both genders that have elevated heels, including cowboy boots and Cuban heels. In previous ages, men also wore high heels
Types of heels found on high-heeled footwear include:[11]
  • cone: a round heel that is broad where it meets the sole of the shoe and noticeably narrower at the point of contact with the ground
  • kitten: a short, slim heel with maximum height under 2 inches and diameter of no more than 0.4 inch at the point of contact with the ground
  • prism: three flat sides that form a triangle at the point of contact with the ground
  • puppy: thick square block heel approximately 2 inches in diameter and height
  • spool or louis: broad where it meets the sole and at the point of contact with the ground; noticeably narrower at the midpoint between the two
  • stiletto: a tall, slim heel with minimum height of 2 inches and diameter of no more than 0.4 inch at the point of contact with the ground
  • wedge: occupies the entire space under the arch and heel portions of the foot.

Smokey eyes

The smokey eye's both sexy and classic! Whether your eyes are light or dark, you're going to a formal dinner or out with friends, or you just feel like jazzing up your everyday routine, the smokey eye shows no discrimination and is the perfect compliment to any look desired!
So, here are some few  quick steps to get the smokey eyes look :)

1.Choose a good concealer. Always choose one shade lighter than your skin tone and completely cover any dark circles. Since the smoky eye is very dark, you want to be certain you have good coverage here.

2.Draw a line along the upper lashes with a black eye pencil. Start thin at the inner corner of the eye gradually getting thicker as you work your way out.

3.Draw a thin line as close to the lower lash line as possible. You can stop either one third of the way in or take it all of the way in to the inner corner. It all depends on how dramatic of a look you want. Play around with both and see what looks best on you. Liquid eyeliner is also very handy to use; try experimenting with both pencil and liquid as you get two different effects.

4.Apply a neutral shade all over your lids right up to the brow. e.g. an almond color.

5.Apply a darker shade such as dark brown or gray to the outer corner of your eyelid just up to the crease. Blend in well. Gradually build up to your desired color.
.
6.To brighten eyes, apply white eyeliner or eye shadow to or around your tear ducts.
7.Use a black kohl pencil to line the top of your lashes and smudge it in with a cotton bud.

8.To finish the look, apply lots of mascara, but stop before your lashes start to clump. Two coats of a volumizing mascara should be sufficient. You may want to put a card between your eyelids and lashes to avoid messing up the eyeshadow.
